Surdex Corporation

With the ever-increasing suite of Geospatial imaging and sensing systems available to the data provider today, each with their benefits, specific operating requirements, and application solutions, responding to a developing emergency with potentially varying requirements and challenging conditions makes the selection of sensing tools a challenge to offer timely data and information.  Our parent company, Surdex Corporation, recognized the developing need for a multi-sensor platform to meet the challenging conditions and requirements that may be associated with developing and dynamic emergency response conditions facing Emergency Management Decision Makers throughout North America and the world.

In an effort to better support Federal, State, and Commercial Customers, Emergency Managers and First Responders with tools to provide faster and environmentally driven data solutions, Surdex formed SGSI as a Research and Development arm of our group.  SGSI’s objective is to support natural and man-made disaster First Responders by placing a suite of remote sensing tools on-site during those first critical hours following an event.  Often resources may need to be redirected and the actual conditions on the ground and in the air may not be fully known at the time of deployment.  By creating a multi-sensor platform, precious hours are not wasted with time consuming reconfigurations of sensors.  Our goal is to develop and integrate a complete suite of sensor technologies, current and developing, into a standard payload for Emergency Response with an eye toward miniaturization and platform portability.

SGSI’s mission philosophy is built upon:

  • Complete customer support and satisfaction
  • Sensor support to meet any requirement
  • Timeliness
  • Quality and Accurate Products
  • Value
